Safety Program
Safety Program Cuyahoga County maintains a comprehensive Safety Program
predicated upon sound engineering, training and education. The County provides
safe working conditions for all its employees and makes available, where
necessary, special equipment for the prevention of accidents and personal
injuries.
The responsibility for safety in the County extends through
the entire management team to every employee on the job. The prevention of
accidents and injuries requires that each employee accepts full share of the
responsibility for safety. It is the responsibility of management to maintain a
sound program. Each employee shall comply with safety and health standards and
all rules and regulations which are acceptable to his own actions and conduct.
The Safety Committees throughout the County act in an advisory capacity
on all safety and fire protection matters. It is responsible for the
establishment of County safety objectives and for guiding and assisting all
agencies or departments relative to their safety practices.
