Fire Safety & Evacuation Plan: 1 hr.

Attendees will be instructed on the different classes of fires.  The attendees will learn how to use a fire extinguisher on an incipient fire.  The course will also instill the importance of understanding the evacuation plan and the different escape routes to evacuate the building in the event of a fire.

Hazardous Communication: 1 hr.

Attendees will be instructed on potential hazards in their work area and their building.  The attendee will learn about the importance of labeling chemicals. The attendee will learn the effects of chemicals on the body and how to protect him/her when using chemicals.  The employee will also be instructed on how to obtain and use a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).  This course can only be taught after a hazard assessment has been completed of the workplace. 

Bloodborne Pathogens: 1 hr.

Attendees will receive information on how to limit occupational exposure to blood and other potential infectious materials.  Attendees will learn the basics about the HIV virus and the hepatitis virus, how to protect themselves and what to do if they feel they have been exposed.  Any undue exposure could result in the transmission of bloodborne pathogens that could lead to serious illness. 

First Aid: 4 hrs. (Instructed by Office of Health & Safety and Protective Services)

Attendees will be instructed in the basics of first aid; applying a tourniquet, bandaging, and rudimentary cleaning.  Attendees will come away knowing what procedures to follow for minor injuries until professional help arrives at the scene. 

CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation): 4 or 8 hrs. (Instructed by Office of Health & Safety and Protective Services)

Adult Only  -  4 hrs. Infant, Child and Adult – 8 hrs.
Attendees will be instructed in the accepted American Red Cross or American Heart Association techniques of CPR.  The instructor will demonstrate the proper application of the Heimlich maneuver and other life saving techniques.

OSHA 10 hr. Compliance Course: 10 hrs.

This is a comprehensive course that will give the attendee a good working knowledge of the OSHA standards that are important to his/her workplace.  (Please note: Class is structured for each specific work area and will be designed to meet specific needs from over 30 different OSHA subjects available.)
