October 2, 2012
- The work within the 1.72 mile limits of this project include; Planing and resurfacing of the existing asphalt concrete wearing course; repair/and or removal of deteriorated concrete base and curb; adjustments or reconstruction to grade of various roadway castings.
- Construction work along Noble Road will be performed in two separate construction sections; Section 1 ~ (The east side of the roadway will be reconstructed), followed in turn be Section 2 ~ (The west side of Noble Road).
- Sections 1 and 2; began June 11, 2012; two-way traffic will be maintained at all times in one lane in each direction on the half width of the street not undergoing reconstruction.
- Please use caution at all times when driving through the work zone.
Progress/Status September:
- Performing street base repairs and re-establishing the roadway cross section on the west side of the roadway.
- Adjusting and reconstructing to grade existing catch basins.
- Placement of intermediate asphalt over repaired surfaces.
- Replacing curb and sidewalk along the right-a-way.
Progress/Status October:
- Casting will be adjusted to proposed surface course elevation.
- Linear grading along with seeding and mulching will be performed to restore areas that were affected by the construction.
- Surface course of asphalt will be placed along with pavement markings.
Please note the following:
- Scheduled for October 11th and 12th traffic on Noble Road will be severely restricted due to the placement of the surface course asphalt. (City of East Cleveland has been notified-News Release will posted to the D.P.W. website).
