Ridge Road Paving To Begin

Lewis Road Closure

The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works announces that the Columbus Road Bridge 01.09 will be closed to all traffic due to structural deficiencies in the 98 year old concrete slab.

Pleasant Valley Road Bridge 09.68 Posting Removed

The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works announces the removal of the weight restriction across the Pleasant Valley Road Bridge. The expansion joint on the Pleasant Valley Road Bridge 09.68 has been replaced and the structural elements that were in a deteriorated condition have been repaired.

Ridge Road Emergency Night Utility Repairs

Weather permitting, emergency night road repair will commence on Thursday, October 10th beginning at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, October 11th at 6:00 a.m. The contractor will modify the traffic zone on Ridge Road. Cuyahoga County to Purchase Green Energy from Renewable Sources

Columbia Road Major Traffic Pattern Change

Bridge Replacement Project - Four Bridges on Highland Road

The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works is planning to rehabilitate four bridges (Bridges Nos. 00.13, 00.31, 00.54, and 00.55) along Highland Road spanning Euclid Creek in the City of Euclid. Temporary Road Closure - Mt. Sinai at E. 105th

Pleasant Valley Bridge 09.68 Weight Restriction and Sidewalk Closure

Independence, Valley View & Walton Hills – The finger joint on the Pleasant Valley Road Bridge 09.68 is experiencing some critical deterioration and distress. In order to relieve the pressure and some of these stresses, and also repair the structural elements, the Department of Public Works will be implementing a weight restriction across this structure. The structure will be limited to cars and will be Posted “No Trucks over 7000 Lbs.”. Additionally, due to the continued deterioration and prior failures on similar structures, the entire north sidewalk will be closed until repairs can be made. Click here for the full News Release.


Stone Road Bridge 00.98 Lane Closure

Independence – Portions of the Stone Road Bridge 00.98 have been closed leaving a single lane over the structure. The Bridge Inspection Division of the Department of Public Works has identified some critical findings in the beams of the superstructure that have warranted the partial closing.  Because this bridge's location and low ADT, this will be a permanent closure in lieu of a complete closure of the bridge. Noble Road - Traffic Restricted

Cleveland-----Traffic will be temporarily restricted on Nobel Road. The Department of Public Works announces that beginning on Thursday, October 11th through Friday, October 12th traffic on Noble Road will be severely restricted due to the placement of the surface course asphalt. Please use caution in this area, there will be flaggers directing traffic. Delays, however, are to be expected. Bagley Road Temporary Closure

Cleveland ----- The Department of Public Works, announces the temporary road closure of Bagley Road,
from Stearns Road to Jennings Road on Monday, May 7th to Friday, May 11th. Access will be maintained for local residents and businesses located between Stearns Road and Jennings Road. The Posted detour will be Stearns Road to Shady Road to Jennings Road.

The Department of Public Works, Maintenance Division will be making emergency repairs to the culvert located west of Stearns Road.

Traffic Circle and Roadway Reconfiguration at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East 105th Street

The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works is planning a project to improve the roadways surrounding the traffic circle at MLK Jr. Drive/East 105th Street. The project includes: removing the traffic circle; building an intersection with a traffic light at a East Boulevard and MLK Jr. Drive; building an intersection with a stop sign at Jeptha Drive and MLK Jr. Drive; moving Mount Sinai Drive about 250 feet south; widening MLK Jr. Drive to five lanes; and building a boardwalk-type multi-purpose path between Mount Sinai Drive and Jeptha Drive. Traffic signals will remain at East 105th Street/MLK Jr. Drive and East 105thStreet/Mount Sinai Drive. The purpose of the project is to improve traffic flow and provide a safe roadway for cars, pedestrians, and bicycles. Click here for the full News Release.
