This section of the Facilities Management Division is responsible for assuring that County facilities comply with various Federal, State and Local environmental regulations. The Environmental Compliance section is responsible for managing and overseeing the County’s Underground Storage Tank Compliance Program, the Asbestos Operation & Maintenance Program, Disposal of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste, investigation, resolution of indoor air quality, lead-based paint, mold, environmental/occupational health complaints, as well as providing technical assistance to other County Departments and Agencies. The Department of Public Works Environmental Compliance section is committed to ensuring a healthy and safe work environment for all county employees and occupants and to resolving complaints in a professional and thorough manner.
