Progress:

September 6, 2017

Turney Road:

  • Work completed except for permanent pavement markings, final seeding and mulching.
  • Epoxy center line placed.
  • Remainder of permanent pavement markings scheduled for September/October, after corrective work related to asphalt wearing course in intersections is complete.
  • Work related to punch list scheduled for September/October 2017.
  • Turney Road under construction from Hathaway road, travelling north through Garfield Heights, per separate Cuyahoga County project.
  • Remainder of work will require limited traffic control, no delays anticipated.
  • Eastland/Fowles Road:
  • Adjustments of castings, install of ADA compliant curb ramps complete.
  • Concrete drive aprons complete.
  • Concrete (255) repairs in progress, to be completed next week.
  • Asphalt drive aprons to be placed throughout project after final paving work is complete.
  • Placement of asphalt wearing course scheduled for week of September 11th.
  • Berm work to be performed after final paving is complete, including necessary grading.
  • Fowles Road south of Eastland Road will be under construction at same time per City of Middleburg Heights project.
  • Work will require daily traffic control with flaggers during work hours
  • Expect delays while traveling through construction zone on Eastland/Fowles.
  • ACCESS TO ASPHALT DRIVE APRONS ON EASTLAND/FOWLES WILL BE AFFECTED BY NEW DRIVE APRON CONSTRUCTION MID SEPTEMBER.
  • NOTICE OF ONE WEEK TO BE SENT TO THOSE AFFECTED.

August 3, 2017
 
Turney Road:
 

  • Work completed except for permanent pavement markings, final seeding and mulching.
  • Permanent pavement (center line) markings scheduled for August.
  • Work related to punch list items, scheduled for August/September 2017.
  • Remainder of work will require limited traffic control, no delays anticipated.

Eastland/Fowles Road:

  • Repairs to roadway, chip seal and intermediate asphalt course have been completed.
  • Adjustments of castings, install of ADA compliant curb ramps currently in progress.
  • Drive aprons will be addressed, placement of asphalt wearing course.
  • Work will require daily traffic control with flaggers during work hours
  • Expect delays while traveling through construction zone on Eastland/Fowles.
  • No road closured are anticipated for above roadways. 
  • ACCESS TO ALL RESIDENTIAL DRIVERS WILL BE MAINTAINED AT ALLTIMES.

August 3, 2017

  • Resurfacing of .44 miles of Hathaway Road.
  • Project substantially completed.
  • Asphalt surface course placed.
  • Permanent pavement markings placed
  • Road is open to traffic.

July 13, 2017

Turney Road:

  • Work completed with the exception of permanent pavement markings, final seeding and mulching.
  • Punch list items to be completed.

Eastland/Fowles Road:

  • Two-way traffic will be maintained by use of flaggers during work hours.
  • Expect delays while traveling through construction zone on Eastland/Fowles Road.
  • No road closures are anticipated for above roadway.
  • Access to all residential drives will be maintained at all times.
